Group paddle

Borrowing from the group bike ride routine, I set up a group paddle and a bunch of folks came out to enjoy the sunny (but cold) day. We had a good time and got in a 6 mile paddle or so. A great variety of boats -- one of them a hand made kayak on its maiden voyage -- the one that looks white in the middle of this picture. A fun day!

Sorry I missed it. The vehicle that hauls my kayaks is in the shop. Looked like a good time!

Hi Anna - Four of us will be camping at Davis Bayou March 1-6 and kayaking in the area. We need to rent or borrow 2 kayaks for the two ladies. Can you give us suggestions on that? You can check us out on our blog.

Thanks, Alan

Keith, looks like you guys are having great times on your paddles.

Alan, I recommend South Coast Paddling Company http://www.southcoastpaddling.com/ - friendly folks, they know Fort Bayou really well, can tell
you all about the area, have accessories, maybe maps and other info. Have fun!!

Thanks Chris... glad you like the pictures. I like winter kayaking too - especially here where it's not too cold.

Thanks for the tip, Anna. We made North Carolina on our first day, dodging snow, sleet and freezing rain on the way. It feels a lot warmer already. Florida panhandle tomorrow.
